ABOUT OUR OFFICE
Our physicians and staff are devoted to providing the highest quality obstetric and gynecologic health care for women of all generations. All of our physicians are certified specialists who have hospital privileges at Providence Hospital.
I have a relaxed, easygoing style. I am a compassionate listener. I take pleasure in answering patients questions and teaching them about healthcare alternatives. I am most proud of the close relationships that I have developed with my patients over the years.
Catherine Chartier, MD
I believe in providing comprehensive health care to my patients. The key factors in my practice philosophy are as follows. 1: Prevention & Early Detection: I try to achieve this by educating and encouraging my patients to choose healthy life style and preventive health care visits. 2: selection of appropriate treatment plan together. I truly believe in empowering my patients in choosing the best treatment by informing them of the pros and cons of all the available options. Thus my patients are equal partners in the decision making process of their care.

My role as a physician, as I see it, is to not just be a care giver but also to be an educator as well. I believe where I really excel, and what I find most gratifying, is sitting down with my patients and teaching them about the issues at hand and their options for treatment, allowing them to make the educated decisions that best meet their needs and lifestyles. I don't pretend to know what is best for each person. I try to utilize my training and expertise to help identify issues and make recommendations, but I also
realize that what may be a big concern for one woman may be a minor inconvenience to someone else. Taking that extra time to get to know someone or making an effort to really listen to what someone's expectations are goes a long way in providing the exceptional care I strive for.
I strive to keep my patients informed about the latest treatment options so that they may make the best decisions about their health care. It is a pleasure to care for women of all ages and from all walks of life. Providing an environment in which any issue can be discussed comfortably is a goal of mine

Going to see an OB/GYN can be intimidating and frightening, thus it is very important to me to break down barriers and help women feel comfortable with their body and their physician. I work diligently to make sure that each patient feels as though they are heard and respected. Together we are able to discuss their problems and make informed decisions regarding their treatment options that meet their personal needs.
